A loose plan was formed...
AVR to North Wales and do the Barmouth loop of incredible trails and great views
A ride was arranged
Me - SWM RS 300 R
Glen - Honda CRF 250X
Tom - Husaberg 2 smoker
Micheal - a red bike ? lol
A route was sourced.]
Cheers Ribble Valley Trail riders - https://trailriders.org/Ribble-Valley
A great group of lads, usually taking on the toughest trails the Uk has to offer.
Me usually being on a bigger bike, unlike the local TRF group who were not at all interested in taking us out or making me feel that welcome.
These boys have always been happy to share info routes and laughs a plenty
Meet at Dolgellau at 9 am meaning a 5 am start for me... ride the approx 70+ mile route. prepare to get sweaty and open lots and lots and lots of gates.
A great mix of fast and flowing forest tracks, very tight single tracks in the woods, to goat paths over the mountains.

98 gates!!!!!!!!!.....I bet you can’t wait to get back to Bulgaria!
Seriously though, that looked like an awesome day of mixed terrain and epic views.
I think the count was 100 but i cocked up the edit on the video and the laptop kept crashing out, so i uploaded as was...
Bg gate count... one... and thats the hotel gate. I did see a piece of string once around an allotment
Its the only place in the UK that felt similar to BG. great mix of trails some very testing. I'm still sore now. The SWM did great ! still amazes me how it will just keep climbing and finding traction where others can't.
Cracking day
