I get my lovely DR650 stuck...

Found a great video then post it up here. It doesn't have to be about bikes.

Very brave of you to post it as an example to your peers. So given it happened to more than a few brave souls here with wonder lust..........whats the best escape and evasion equipment to carry just in case one alone with no one to come to ones aid [apart from a mobile phone]?

I think a rachet would have been useful if paired with a ground anchor. Or a tree if there was one close by. Everything around me was so soft I couldn't even get to a solid bit of ground to stand on. That whole area completely floods every year.
In theory I could have just walked off and found some wood or rocks eventually.

Also wet wipes. They would have been really nice to have. Lots of 'mud' went in my eyes and mouth...
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

I can vouch for the ratchet idea. Once used one of those folding military shovels pushed into the ground as an anchor and a ratchet wrapped around the handle. Slow process but great feeling to get it out. Am sure you would have eventually if it had been necessary.

Drexit the puddle!

As for ratchets, had to use them one time I let my K100LT fall over in the garage doorway and couldn't get near to lift it. No one around so had to use the ratchet straps slung over the beam over the door to raise it bit by bit. A slow solo exercise. But, they work. Working with a bog hole, patience is your friend

Here it is a couple of years ago. The KLX is parked at the entrance. I decided to give it a miss that day...
