Had my original Drift for 4+ years now cooked it, dropped it ,drowned it and proper abused it , deserts , mountain snow and Bosnian swamp , knocks the socks off the GOPRO ,IMHO in fact i been with folk when the GP failed and the Drift soildered on (thumbs)

One major advantage of the Drift (mine is a Drift Ghost HD) is the remote.
Gopro remote seems to eat battery life from reading other topics.

check both on u tube drift looked better and cheaper plus it doesn`t look like a speed cam on the side of your lid

Didn't you get one with it? Drift web site shows one.

Edit says it's compatible & not included, bugger. That's misleading I bet a few have bought one and expected a remote. Anyway well worth getting one. Battery lasts around 3 hours.
