Rather be on a bike than this...

Found a great video then post it up here. It doesn't have to be about bikes.

Rather be on a bike than this...

Post by OB1 »

I would rather do this on a bike at 30 than be in any car round the Island... even though he is supposed to be doing 150 mph, it doesn't look fast or have the same appeal as a bike.

A bit hairy at 0.55 after the jump!

That's a very wide angle lens and it would look an awful lot faster if you were actually in the car and seeing it with your own eyes - pretty much nothing looks fast through a wide angle lens because stuff takes a fairly long time to go from the middle to the edge of the frame, but if you imagine it being twice as fast as it appears, that's a good start.

I'd still rather be on a bike though B)

it's not about the speed, but about the jumps, when the car was all over the place. you would have been shitting yourself in that situation.

Has anyone actually been taken around a circuit even a short circuit by a professional racing driver? I was taken for a few laps around Brands by an F3000 driver, and to see and experience the skill is just mind blowing.
To say that you'd rather be on two wheels at 30mph, rather than 150 mph sat next to a top driver.... put it this way ones boring and one's a pant filling adrenaline rush, I know which one I'd pick, and moped speeds ain't it.
The end of the road is the start of the fun

Did A few laps of Silverstone in a Vauxhall touring car in about 2005.

From where I was sat I thought it would be completely impossible to make some of the corners......

By the time I got out I ached, felt sick, and was glad to be out......

But then my wifes driving has the same effect ;)

Looks quick to me! Does well to save it a 55s.
