WTF?
Road wasn't that bad, speed ok for the straight, water didn't look that deep. Something weird going on there, spilt diesel combined with crap tyre and a bit of braking at that precise point??? :S
Important thing is that you're ok! (thumbs)

Initially I wondered if the draught from the vehicle coming towards him had given the bike a nudge and on a wet road that could start the problem off. It's hard to judge but I know you can sometimes be leaning over to compensate for a side wind and if something affects that side wind the bike can get a wobble on. I've had it happen on icy roads and if there's surface water on a poor surface you're only a moment from disaster.

chain come off ?????, i cant find anything else here, no way was he aquaplaning, no where near enough water at the point it started. or diesel/spilage in road maybe
i only need one wheel .......... the rear
Re: Glad to be alive after this wee off
There appears to be a change in colour in the bitumen at the moment the back lets go (about 13.5 seconds in).
The bitumen seems to change to a patch of a darker colour and I first assumed that it was a repair in the road base with possibly a poor grade of bitumen mix or perhaps oil/diesel spill.
Either way, hope the OP and his bike are fit enough to continue on their journey and kudos for posting for reminding us that the ground awaits us at every opportunity! (thumbs)
