70's rock

Post by Grumbleweed »

Been adding to my lp collection over the past couple of months.
Looking for suggestions for what to get next. Got all zep lp's, a few black sabbath, a bit of floyd, fleetwood mac, and several Hendrix albums. Looking for few ideas for other bits to add.

Managed to find deep purple albums in the market for a couple of quid! Anyone got any they are wanting rid of? Loft clutter etc

Bugger, a couple of weeks back we had a de-clutter and I was persuaded to let the last of my LP's go after almost 30 years. Well I couldn't play them and had replaced some with Cd's

Black Sabbath
Climax Blues Band
Canned Heat
Led Zeppelin
Joe Walsh
Kate Bush
Stevie Nicks
Simon & Garfunkel,
Planet Gong,
Hawkwind
and Yes, to name a few. All gone for ever :(

can't beat led zep and sabbbath - listen to it now and musically it soooo much better than 99% of todays stuff. today's leed singers all sound like little boys, no guts in their vocals.

maybe some early ac/dc or priest too?

Seventies Bowie, early and there is the glam rock of Ziggy (1972) and later there is the Berlin/Eno period with Heroes (1977).

If you fancy more prog rock Yes, Genesis and King Crimson should be checked out.
