the 100bhp limit was in use in Germany up to about 15 years ago, bikes with more power were available but the insurance was too high, pressure from manufacturers made them change.

And when the limit was dropped it had no effect on accident rates at all.

It's limited on the ECU though, so must of 'em just get unnoficially 'reprogrammed' ;)

100bhp applied in Holland many years ago when I sold my 125bhp Honda to a Dutchman.

France currently has a 100bhp limit which is 73.1kw it will be good to see the back of it... Thugh you can squeeze 106 bhp through.
