Rovanienni in Finland, just inside the Arctic Circle in September and it was chuffing cold...

It's also the furthest East I've been too at 26 degrees East.

This pic was a few miles south of there;



South would be Gib and west would be Dingle in Eire.

Once flew right through the Aurora Borealis on a flight to Vancouver, most spectacular thing I ever saw.

Me and my travelling buddy Bushman got as far as the Arctic Circle in Norway about 8 years ago. It was September and bloody cold.......

I had planned on riding to Nordkapp (northern most place in Europe) this year, however the funds didnt stretch to it. Maybe next year! The coldest I have been was -13 in eastern Texas - so cold it gave me permanent nerve damage to fingers as I only had winter gloves and no heated grips or muffs.

I had to have a think about this and realised it was Cumbria earlier this year when I rode to the top of Thirlmere and parked the bike HERE whilst I went and wandered to the top of Raven Crag

No pictures that day 'cos it was pouring but this was the next day at the top of the Struggle on Kirkstone Pass
