You probably won't use this guy but just in case ! I bought a scooter back in June for this winter.
This company picked up the scooter i bought. Bike was dropped sometime in transit. When it arrived the owner Alan said just get it repaired and his insurance would cover it. I got the estimates (only £300 ) and he said go ahead.
The bike shop I chose does work for me on other bikes I own so It was the obvious choice.
On completion of the repair i paid the shop and got the invoice made out to him. He won't take my calls now and i guess he won't be paying up. Its not alot of money and I never paid him for the transport so I am only out a hundred quid or so, but it might have been a different story if it was a very expensive bike and the damage ran to to 4 figures.

I'm sure the small claims court is the way to go on this one, i know its not necessarily about the money for you, but these people shouldn't get away with shitty service like that. I assume you have pictures of the bike before it was collected by the courier! good luck with your decision either way

Legally, I don't think you are entitled to a penny unless you took out goods in transit (GIT) cover, or the haulier has GIT cover.
Cheap couriers/hauliers are cheap for a reason.

Dibbs, i did consider that but in the light of what Richard says and all the hassle for a couple of hundred quid I will just write it off to experience.
Richard is £160 cheap,I was under the impression he had insurance for this kind of thing, but perhaps it was just a story to fob me off.
I have had a few bikes moved in the past 5 years and £150 seemed to be the going rate.
Are you saying its a gamble everytime for that sort of money ??

That's just pure shit...... Shouldn't of happened and he should of paid up... The guy who delivered your xt660z to me was totally professional straps and covers...
Your idiot shouldn't be in business.... I've posted so bad publicity =no work for him.

Greetings,
Thank you for bringing this poor service to our notice, we need to know who we can and who can not trust.
On the point of bad service from a personal financial loss situation I would advise anybody thinking of buying a helicopter experience flight as a Christmas present from a company called "fly helicentre" operating out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport or City Airport (Manchester Barton Aerodrome) to think again and do well NOT to use them.
I could expand on why I give this company a serious dismissal but it would take too long, almost along as the time I have spent trying to get the CEO to return my emails, phone calls and money to me.
If you want a flying experience from Liverpool then over a number of years I have had good service from Ravenair.

Hugh.

Re: Moto mover let me down
Well his business card clearly shows hes set up as a courier so if he has no insurance then claim against him personally! You can do it all online for a few quid. Even if he doesnt pay up at least you can get a CCJ against him, so he wont get finance to buy a new van to rip off more punters in the future! As you can probably tell i hate this sort of thingcrofty wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 5:38 pm Dibbs, i did consider that but in the light of what Richard says and all the hassle for a couple of hundred quid I will just write it off to experience.
