Giro d'Italia

Post by SteveR »

Gonna be a toughie, especially in the Dolomites/Alps this late in the Year.

Passo dello Stelvio is Stage 18 on the 22nd October, I really do hope they get some good weather in the Mountains ;)

Gutted for G. after that stupid crash... looked bloody horrible and astonishing he was able to get back on. Men of Steel. Must be wondering if he should have gone for the One Day Races now....

Not heard why Yates had a bit of a 'mare... too much ropey seafood last noght with his Pasta?

That wet descent today in the middle of the stage was real butt clenching, teeth bearing stuff....

Thought it before, but the Giro Highlights program is a poor relation to that seen with the Tour. The lead commentator wants stringing up... truly awful.

I’ve not watched much of the Giro d’Italia, but I have watched this BBC documentary on Lance Armstrong.

Regardless of your feelings about him it’s worth watching.

Watching the Stelvio stage.... Fahkin hell!! :o

Decided not to ride it about 9-10 years ago, on my way back from several days riding in the Dolomites as me and my riding buddy were both on a deadline to get back towards Blighty. Big Mistake...

Next year I think...Covid might keep the numbers down a bit??
