Agree, it is different now with folk having mobiles. Infact that is what made us go and get mobiles after my missus having a bad one and the weather closing in. Luckily an absolute legend Mountain Rescue turned around (the majority of car drivers just looked the other way/ sneered at my pleas for help)

Been glad to pass that good karma on a number of times including for the tin can mob.

Always check.

A very dark , damp November night and the CCM ran out of petrol ( no reserve and when the warning light comes on you've got between 0 and 50 miles left ( depending what mood it's in) and no fuel gauge! ). I'm pushing the bike along when a bloke on a bike stops, says he's local and has petrol in the shed at home. Off he goes and is back half an hour later. Wouldn't take a penny for the petrol and just asks that I spread the karma.

The Knights of the road are out there :)
