Annoyingly, chance encounters led to most of my work and income improvements over the 30 years or so of self employment, followed by nice recommendations though.

Can that seriously be ‘in control’?
MAMIL cyclists in general. Very loud shouted conversations in groups of god knows how many and littering the countryside al la Tour de France (although they have cracked down a bit lately). I went past a queue the other day of at least a quarter of a mile as they were riding in such a large pack and way below any reasonable cycling speed. No apologies to cyclists on here, sorry. A vast majority round here are morons.
Sports bike riders trying to get their knee down at 30mph and 10 degrees of lean so I have to overtake them on my knobblied Husky 450 enduro bike.
perhaps horses were on the roads first?
totally agree with the lycra bullies ...cyclists in general are the most ignorant of road and trail users, I find
one day i went out, heading for isolation and some sort of zen experience on the open roads of Wales.
I picked the wrong day .. it was some sort of nation or welsh cycling day ... i counted over 3000 cyclists that i passed ... no, really ... it was a nightmare ... and the more i tried to find obscure B roads .. the more ther were Doh!!

No problem with horses on the road, god knows how many go past our house in a week but leading a horse on a main road is quite scary to see.
Just had one on the Chelsea Flower Show programme. ‘ ....we caught up with....’. ‘....we spoke to...’ is just fine, thank you.

But can't be doing with the people who ride them like they own the roads, and that you're a pain in the arse for wanting to use them too!

Or worse, pseudo-pyschological messages where the spelling and/or grammar is wrong (to combine your two posts, both of which I heartly agree with!).daveuprite wrote: ↑Fri May 22, 2020 8:25 pm Pseudo-pyschological 'Lifestyle' messages on the internet that tell you how to live your life in a beautifully patronising way...

Surprised mine hasn't come up before (or maybe I've missed it).
Those facebook posts that that end "I bet I know who will share this", "Bet no-one shares this" or "no-one cares enough to share this" really piss me off.
Frankly, I don't give a shit and I won't be manipulated by attempted emotional blackmail.
I bet no-one likes this post enough to give it a thumbs up.....
