Where does it say we must return home at night?

Anything goes, and mine's a Guinness.

You're obviously going to do whatever you fancy, and will find a way to interperate goverment advice to suit yourself.
Am personaly beyond caring what folk get up to, and just keeping well clear of everyone i can instead.

What I don't get is the urge to get on the internet and tell everyone before doing it??

But if a solo motorcyclist in England was to go for a ride aka jolly and not bother folks and at end of the day decided to find a suitable night resting place like someone on the streets then next day carry on getting food at supermarkets and being more or less self sufficient...

What harm does it Do too anyone?...I'm the kind loves isolation but at same time seeing what's around the next corner....
If by finding somewhere suitable you mean some patch of woods/wasteland out of the way then I'm beginning to consider the same, I'm shit scared of catching this virus and giving it to loved ones, but have come to the conclusion that common sense will protect me far more than following the ill thought out arbitary directions of the idiots in Government.

Did you break any rules or laws while you were away? Probably not so don’t break them here. It’s not rocket science.
One of the ironies of the crisis is that many roadside facilities have been closed to 'stop the virus from spreading'...so truck drivers are finding hygienic facilities difficult to find! You could not make it up.

Even some delivery points are, quite illegally, refusing visiting drivers use of their facilities on these absurd grounds.

The thing is we could all come up with a reason why we should be allowed to do A,B or C but that’s not the point really, I had to work through it all, as we are classed as “essential” & I’ve dealt with some proper pillocks who I swear must not have seen any news programmes in the past few months, all of them started off with “but I only want” bla, bla, bla, followed by their reason to not to have to conform to the rules!!
Selfishness reigns I’m afraid, N Yorks Police don’t agree that’s why they moved on all those wild campers??

Greetings,

I usually try to stay out of internet politics but I must say that I find it totally inconceivable that secure service and domestic facilities were not set up for the use of commercial vehicle drivers, they are after all "essential workers" - no trucks - no food - no medicines - no materials - no jobs - etc.

Look at how Care Workers are being classified as non skilled plus note how this Government treats past armed forces personnel;

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/202 ... 0-nhs-bill

Thank goodness for the Royal British Legion, Help For Heroes and the other charities which try to look after such folk.

I was prepared to give the current Government time and hopefully some credit but as things have progressed there does not seem to be a worldly wise manager amongst them - no leadership - no forethought - certainly no coordinated thinking just knee jerk reactions.

Rant over :!:

I'd give full credit to the Chancellor, who took prompt and bold action to prevent a total economic collapse with people being turned out into the streets, and has now pointed out that this can't continue forever and we have to find new ways of working.

the rest of them...don't get me started!

Well as its gone off topic lol.... The last to return to work will be the teachers and council staff who have found sitting at home on full pay rather nice.... Stop the furlough scheme... I never qualified as zero ower self employed recently... And you will soon see everyone back at work..

Even the Italians have capitulated and opened everything... Uk plc is lagging behind the curtains again....

There is a big difference between a group of campers and a lone bloke spending a night in the woods, the latter is in my view social distancing far more efficiently than those who think going down the chippie for a takeaway is a good idea or to take our welsh health minister as an example to sit on a bench in a much frequented spot in cardiff bay having a picnic
Sometimes blind following of rules is simply dumb and sometimes those telling you to follow them are fakes

Take for instance the rules in wales, Police recently told men fishing a river to go home as because they had driven there they had broke the rules...meanwhile still in Wales, golfers were told its ok to drive to the golf course as they need to carry their clubs, probably the local police bigshots go to the same club/lodge...thats how it works in Wales

Sometimes the law is an ass and common sense will serve yourself and everyone else better

I'd love to sit at home on full pay, or even go on a camping jolly (I'm not even going to go there). However I have to head off to work now to the council.....just like I've done every day. With broad, sweeping generalisations like that, you should go into politics
