Thanks a lot. We're not overly worried. Statistically it's highly unlikely we will have anything worse than the cough and the aches and pains. And from what I'm reading, the majority of the world will get some form of it (either symptomatic or asymptomatic) by the end of this outbreak anyway.

I'm always looking for some dark humour in things, so try this: we needed to check our temperature, but the only thermometer we have is the one we use to check the horses! So, after some basic sterilisation we both stuck in our mouths something that is normally shoved up a horse's arse...

Keep the humour going, the jokes coming and get through it. I wish you both well.

The biggest positive in all this, for us, is that this bloody virus can't spread to our animals. We don't have kids (can't stand the little blighters) and neither of us have much time for our thoroughly awful relatives back in the UK - so our horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, and chickens are our family. They are like kids to us and we care for them accordingly (actually a hell of a lot better than some people look after their kids). They bring us fun and love every day and all we really care about is keeping them well.

So far in our 20 years together neither of us have ever been ill with anything at the same time. We've had flu, Tracie's cancer scare, my back operations, kidney stones etc - but always separate from one another. I am only worried that we both get really ill at the same time and can't tend to the animals properly. That would be the worst.

I have always done my alcohol myself and have no intention of stopping...

It may be different in France but yours doesn't sound like classic covid19 Dave.
Like you say I think most people will probably contract it but the majority will have mild symptoms without needing hospital treatment.
Our Daughter, granddaughter and Son-in-law had a cold and fever about 3 weeks ago and have all shaken it off. Early last week I had the same and have just about got rid of it.
My Wife had a cough last night and around 1am got a fever of 37.7 which are classic. 2 lots of paracetamol, plenty of water and sleep resulted in 36.6 about 6 hours later. Now off work (nurse) for 14 days or until she can get a test.
I'm now consigned to sleeping in the single bed in a spare bedroom while she isolates.
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.
