What common sayings do you not like?

'Lessons learnt" in politics .. I detest !
Thats the one i despise the most as well. Its not just said by governments, its said by the health service, social services, all sorts of so called professional organisations. Its a pathetic excuse for incompetence and its also BS as well, as we all know lessons in these organisation never are learnt.

"Basically" Innit" and Like....
I don't like to use the word like because its a bit basic....Innit ! and
Give it a try... you will love it ! How the F*@! would they know !
'Like' is getting very annoying. Tracie's nephew was over last summer and he uses it all the time - unwittingly on the whole. We put him on a swear box regime (20 cents per 'like') and only allowed 'like' if he was directly comparing one thing with another or expressing his approval for something. We had him on about 5 Euros within two hours of picking him up from the airport.

Obviously I know it's become a tick word, used as a filler in a sentence. When I was young it was 'you know'. But it's almost taking over now, and since it originally came from Californian valley girls, it would be nice to see the back of it, like...
