I’ve just left them to go to RH for my classic Triumph. The other two will follow at renewal.
The bike must be locked away 24 hours a day when at home so, theoretically, if it got nicked while you were washing it, you wouldn’t get paid out! Taking the mickey.

I don’t mind the 22.00 to 06.00 version as that is reasonable.

Yes, I agreed to that,
  • I don’t wash my bike
  • My bike is not worth nicking!

I paid an extra £15 for the bike being overnight on the drive, so that if it's nicked when I'm washing it, it's covered. Even though overnight, at home, it is in a locked garage.

I tried that route but they just said that I had declared it as being garaged so I was stuck with it. Idiots.

well .. I struggled last year with the £55 per month insurance, for 2 bikes, with MCE, on one policy,
it was around £500 for a year, (including the £100 for finance)
I even gave up my car as I could not afford that extra £55 per month either

I still do not have the use of a car,
and MCE quoted £53 for 8 months, with £60 deposit, .. = £484 fully comp!

but just renewed through `Confused Dot Com`
£74 each bike, separately, (tpft and tpo).. = £150, +10fee = £160 tp

one paid 74 outright and
other at £7.50 per month

so more to spend on petrol and cake now 8-) 8-)

fuckme.. I WAS paying £110 per month
not to mention AA at £15 per month (now cancelled as I never break down :?

You want to try living here , the vehicle is insured not the person so no muliti bike options  .... 4 bikes now and due another 2 with an average of €120 each

Phoned AMV yesterday queerying the costs and finally was told , you know you can have a "collection" insuranve on bikes over 15 years old !!!

I fucking hate insurance they should by law have to tell you the cheapest option , the Donk is 21 years old and ive paid full ins for 6 years , now got it down from €127 to €74 anually and the Kawa down from €124 to €84 saving €40 but over 6 years i've paid around €300 to much on the Donk .......BASTARDS

I think you guys need to understand that insurance companies are NOT there to serve you with the best cover at the cheapest price, the relationship is actually the complete opposite ....... they are self serving and really want to sell you the lowest cover at the highest price in order to maximize profit. Loyalty is most often to their advantage so get googling.
