Re: Dolly Birds
I think the world has moved on and they are an anachronism left over from the Benny Hill era. If you look at the BSB grid, some teams now have female technicians working on the bikes, and women technicians are also in WSB and the GP classes.
There have also been female riders in Moto 3 and BSB.
So the 'glamour girls' do seem out of place.
That said, I've met some of the grid girls socially, and they enjoy the work (except when it's cold) and the money isn't bad. When I worked for EMAP, some of the 'MCN girls' worked in the same office as we did as their 'day job'.
But it's not the 1980s any more...

Re: Dolly Birds
Yes, I think its a case of moving away from being what could be considered a 60s sexist ecology to a state of encouraging both male and female mutualism. If anything given females work alongside males in the same work structures it could be seen as especially in the UK, a reason for dismissal for whomever organises it.
A better way for such "models" to still survive would be to use both male and female employees in less clearly sexually expressive outfits.

Re: Dolly Birds
I agree in that it's the clothing, not the fact they are lovely young ladies.
The Emirates girls always look classy in their full 'work' gear - get away from the excessive flesh exposure. Maybe I'm just getting too old but some of the outfits really are naff.

The worlds gone mad, more PC rubbish, the lasses themselves enjoy it and they get paid quite well for holding an umbrella for 30mins,travelling the world, meeting celebs and being on the telly,id rather do it than my friggin job, they're usually up and coming models wanting to add to their CV,shame this avenue into the business will be cut off for them.
