biker cliques

Post by garyboy »

which clique are you?
are you in more than one clique?

perhaps in a self-delusionist way .. I believe  myself to be a road `motorcyclist` 8-) and also an trail `gentleman`. :)

are you a hog, biker, enduro-ist, boy racer, .. .. ?

o .. and which group/s give biking a bad name? ..

Next Spring when we've got some more evening light, I'm going to ignore my own advise/warnings and join my son and his mates and do some illegal trail riding on the vast expanse of empty moorland that we have in East Lancashire.
So I'll be in the "illegal, irresponsible, selfish bastard," clique......the ones who are supposedly spoiling it for everyone.

I am a part time trail rider and occasional road rider who on the whole stays within the law but increasingly i am thinking the riding freedom we have in Spain,France,Portugal etc has been mostly taken away from us in this country and they want to stop us using green lanes altogether. I will then ride where i like and take the consequences.

Yep. a little bit of peaceful law-breaking never did too much harm. As the great Dickens once wrote... "the law is an ass".

I've specialised in motorbike-based law-breaking for many a year. Crazy speeds on sportsbikes and a healthy disregard of property rights off-road. Never did anyone any real harm. Ready to say 'sorry' at all times and never confrontational. Live and let live.

such rebellious law-breakers are in fact what the government seems to want, by forcing our hand, especially on trails, .. so such irresponsible riders are in fact ... model citizens, doing the government's bidding .. ? 8-)

Rebellion and contempt for conformism were once characteristics of biking. Sadly today we have ageing. kow-towing supporters of the establishment, some of them ironically the very same bikers who once put two fingers up at law and order.
