Stick on or stick off?

Post by bigfoot »

Apologies if this has been discussed before - I did do a search and couldn't find anything

Where do you guys sit with stickers on panniers?

I don't mean buy a load of generic ones of ebay and plaster them - I mean a select few genuine ones you pick up on your travels.

I know I, and the people I travel with enjoy them as a momento - but there is alot of hate on various forums.

So yes or no and why?

Can't say it worries me either way but I don't bother with them personally.

A 'GB' on the back and one or two Vignettes on the front, and that's about it. Can't say I've ever thought about it myself, but nice to see where others have ventured.

I have the vignettes for the trip, an bar sticker on the pannier and one on the swing arm that was given by an American friend . I reckon momentos are a good thing if they mean something to you, if its dick waving then may it make yours bigger.

I've got stickers on my panniers.I like to collect them as momentos and I'm not bothered what other people think of them.

I like to put stickers on my luggage as a reminder of where I've been and have found that it is a great conversation starter. I've often come back to the bike to see people looking at the stickers and it regularly leads to conversations about travel.

With the country stickers, I've found that you can't always buy them where you go so, when I get home, I will buy the country flags of eBay: nowt wrong with that, in my opinion.
