Insurance---that old chestnut

Post by lancashirelad »

So my ins policy with C Nash runs out in 3 weeks if I ring them to change the bike on the policy they prob charge £25 min, so as I thought CN were dear last year I thought I might as well put the £25+ towards a new policy so I've been getting a few quotes all around £125/135 inc b.down cover £84/94 without b.down. I would cancel the CN policy & go with new insurer nothing wrong with that although they might charge me to cancel it?
Best prices are MCE, Hastings & Post Office.
Having a break from it all just now as my head is spinning!!
Can't see there being anything wrong with my plan it's not doing owt wrong as far as I can see?

My insurance with CN runs out 11th aug and it's gone up £80 that's with 11yrs no claims and a motoring conviction coming off. Think i'm swopping to bennetts, they are close to last years price with euro breakdown as an addition.

Trouble is whoever you go with somebody has a tale of woe about them, it's a bloody minefield :(

I've been with Bennetts for my third year, last renewal they tried it on with a 40 odd percent increase. Give them their due they relented when I threatened to leave and even gave me a better quote.

Just take out a new policy with another company with the Serow and whatever you want covered on it. The two policies can overlap.
Nothing illegal about 2 policies, it's only illegal to claim off two different ones for the same thing.
Watch the breakdown cover though because CN in Ireland have no restriction on the age of the bike on the cover but almost all other companies do, 10 or 15 years old max.

Except you cannot use your NCB on two separate motor policies at the same time
