Black Pudding

I am embarking upon a quest to find the holy grail....
of black pudding.
I found the offerings today at the ABR Midlands meet rather satisfactory. Lidl and Aldi's bloody breakfast sausages are also much to my liking however there is always something better...
What's the best you've had? Include comments on texture, smell, taste, appearance and any unwanted side effects...

Personally I find the Lidl black puddings really good.
I have yet to find a nicer accompaniment to my breakfast.

Personnelly I'm not a fan of the stuff, but if your looking. For quality I'd suggest checking out an independent family butchers who are known for making their own sausages etc

You'll have to go to Bury Market....Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Forget the sliced ones, you want these, you boil them.....

+1 the best you can get, take wee trip up and get some, or they post.

I used to work with a lad from Harris and he was tasked with bringing several back with him each time he went home.
