They have already been mentioned but both Flickr (1TB of free storage) and Imgur have served me incredibly well. I tend to use Flickr for albums and Imgur for dumping pics but both serve the purpose well.

More bad news.
I looked unsuccesfully, on my hard drive, for a photo that I have on PB.
I downloaded my own photo, from PB, back to my drive and when I opened it there was no actual photo there. The file was there but there was no photo in it.
All I can do is view the piccy online.
I ended up doing a "Prt Scn" to get it back as best as possible.
Fuck.

Cant you open the image at high rez on fp then copy and.paste to a file or folder on your pc.....worth a try...

Surely stopping you retrieve your own image without paying a new fee is theft and/or blackmail.
I only ever copy on to FP so don't have any original image stored there but surely they must let you take back possession of your own photos. Do they also hold any use rights?
By changing the T&C's you should be given time to make alternative arrangements.
It's like you bank saying their credit card rate is going up but stopping you take your money elsewhere.
I haven't been notified of this change, only by seeing posts on various fora.

In the several e-mails that they have sent me saying that certain functions have/will be disabled--(and pay $400 for their "500" service--go whistle!) they clearly state that you can still view AND DOWNLOAD your own pics. There is a download album function and they prepare a zipped file and e-mail you when its ready. I've downloaded and unzipped ALL my phots (hundreds) and stored them on my remote hard drive. I've started uploading to Flickr (see my Honda NX250 add)--and its easy --and it works, as has been said above. I have also bothered to send them at least two e-mails suggesting that if they were to ask for,say, a $40 annual fee for casual users then most people would pay. They could keep the $400 fee for "commercial" users. As it is I'm sort of giving them chance to see sense, but I'm also prepared to simply close my account with them as all my phots are now tucked up safely on my hard drive. The "problem" is that I've linked lots of phots to different forums over the years , and I guess they are all showing the dial pic now--I would really like them to reinstate the link of course.

Just logged in to PB and deleted my account,even that was a battle with all the pop ups and slow loading etc,ive opened a flickr account and its so much easier,my 1st ever flickr pic....... (thumbs)
