A bit of fun off the bike.

Post by Tyrant68 »

Went to Brno in the Czech Republic three weeks ago for a flight in an L-29 Delfin fighter jet trainer. Something I've always wanted to do and thanks to getting a company bonus in January it rapidly got booked B) The company , Blue sky services/ Czech jet, were superb through out. Had a great pilot , Pavel. Big bear of a bloke with a wicked sense of humour and handy with a joystick / 737 pilot by day and weekends flies the family company L29. Had a fab weekend in Brno , which is a lovely city. Bad side, ear popped on descent in the passenger jet on the way over. Mega pain and could feel fluid running down inside. Now have raging middle ear infection which I'm sure would be cured if I bashed my head against a brick wall  Was worth it though  They are getting an L39 next year , feel a return trip coming on. Now it's over I can ride the bike again :) Couple of videos. One rock-y , one chilled. Paid for a video but they allowed me to have the raw files from gopro facing me and the cockpit

If you do, go through Blue Sky Services SRO at Brno airport. Think Czech Jet market them for a fee. They have several aircrafts and trips

I'd like to go in their Zlin aerobatic plane , December time and tie in with Prague /Brat/Vienna Christmas markets.

What an amazing experience,i am glad you enjoyed it :) :) :) I worked on Tornado aircraft when i was in the R.A.F and when any member of the Squadron left they gave us a flight in a Tornado GR1. As you now know you really don,t have an idea how amazing this type of aircraft are and the forces they put on your body even when wearing a G-suit!
