No, they will be referred to as Merc, Toyota, Tiger and Daytona. If that's a source of either amusement or annoyance for you, it's your issue.

I don't bat an eyelid every time you mention you're an off road rallying god.
That's cuz he is a rally god whereas you own a Merc, nuff said

And Sven just sold a BMW and bought a Golf. So what?

What do you drive? Not that I really give a stuff.

It's a motorcycling forum, people talk about motoring issues, that means mentioning their bikes and their cars.

Some people really have issues.

What would happen if you braked very very hard (possibly even almost an emergency stop) if you saw a camera or speed gun? Assuming you were in full control and it couldn't be deemed dangerous or careless driving, presumably there is nothing they could do?

Radar cameras like the Gatso work on two separate distance readings over a set time to work out speed, and take two readings hence the double flash. If there's too big a difference in speed between the two readings they abort the test, so you can foil those by standing on the brakes. Laser cameras I don't know.

And I actually have a Merc....

And a nice 5 bed house in the countryside with great views

And a beautiful blonde wife

And a great kid

And a successful career with a six figure salary

And a big smile on my face

Anyone with issues with that....

Normal convention is to only count the figures to the left of the decimal point, Ralph...
