So if these people have mental health issues and it's nothing to do with religion,these attacks indicate to me that more muslims appear to be suffering from mental health problems than the rest of us.

Not sure where you get that idea. This would suggest the IRA suffer from way more mental health problems.

To suggest that a human being who decided it's somehow beneficial or "God's will" to kill or maime scores of other human beings, is not mentally ill, is an argument I can't fathom. They have to be sick to contemplate it never mind do it.
