As I'm pottering around I have a couple of radios tuned in to Radio 1--one in the garage and one outside--Craig Charles has taken over the afternoon slot for a while--soooooh much better than that t"at!

You are so right Chris. I listen to Craig Charles soul&funk show on Radio6 sat nights, great stuff. But Steve Wright gets right up my nose

He's painful granted, but what about Chris Evans?
....Good Lord, I'm loathed to say I hate someone I've never met or who's never done anything to harm me....but, that prick..."let's drive our Ferraris for charity" Chris-friggin-Evans, he's beyond irritating.

When in the car I generally listen to 5 Live but as soon as the music starts on a Saturday morning introducing Danny Baker the bloody radio either gets turned off or switched to another channel. The bloke just gets right up my nose.
Nick.

+1 does he still play bit's of his bloody kid chipping in, because that was deeply, deeply irritating!!
Elaine Page doesn't last many seconds before the radio gets switched off either

If ever there was a dj, still stuck in the 80's heyday era of radio 1, then Steve Wright is it. Even worse that he does it on R2.
I cant stand his show and tune right out of R2 when he comes on.... although i did catch his show one afternoon when Patrick Kielty was covering for him. He was even worse !
Long ago I had enough of Evans as well.

I truly miss Wogan doing the breakfast show on R2... His subversive, piss taking humour was highly entertaining to me.

I agree with all the gripes and dislikes about Wright and Evans especially the need to bring his spoil brat on. Even more irritating is the travel woman Lynne Bowles, who for reasons known only to the Ginger one hangs on his shoulder making pointless comments and pathetic whittisisms :pinch: :pinch:

Jo Whiley all the way for me (thumbs)
