Re: This came in for an Mot today .....
My cousin had one of those when I was 14. I was desperate for a ride on it so he said if I can start it he would take me out for a ride. So skinny me (at the time) jumped on and tried to kick it over and the resulting kick back threw me straight over the handlebars, I couldn't walk properly for a week. Later on her did take me out on it and when he accelerated away he left me lying in the road because I wasn't holding on. Didn't put me off bikes though.

Beauty. The bike that really started my passion for bikes. If it was mine it wouldn't be getting MOT'd in November when the salt has already gone down, I have another bike for winter use. It'd be tucked up in a warm garage until mid April at least.

That's a really nice looking bike. It must be one of the very last 750 engined ones because the 850 was officially released in 1973. Mine is an 850 MKIIA and it's a 1974 bike.

As a kid I used to drool over Nortons.
Then at a service station in 1974, I remember parking my Yammie FS1E next to a brand new one. There was a puddle of oil dripping from it.
Sadly, put me off British bikes altogether.
