They've been made at Bassetts in Sheffield for a long, long time, but not sure if they still are. I do know they're still very available over here and if I think on the next time we meet I'll have some on my person, probably not bought by 'the quarter', but that's another thread.

similar tack, about 20 years ago they tried to ban in bait shops asking for a pint of maggots and you had to ask for 258 grams or what ever it was.if you though about it cause they wriggle you would never get a true measure.
