2015 S1000XR 12,000mile service. £1000

Where do you take yours?????

Pidcocks in long eaton

Simple, go to an independent specialist. and no, it wont affect the warranty

A grand to service a four banger ?? I have real issues believing that. :dry:

Ring them up! Cost me £465 for 6000 service, was expecting similar but they said no, a lot bigger service

no idea. said valve check, and its a big one BUT my s1000rr was 18,000 miles. work that one out!

Did you buy the one with all the toys because they might need a so called inspection at 12k miles and the XR probably needs a little bit more time to get at the valves but a grand for a service is a hell of a lot more than I'd expect. That's more than a major service on a Ducati when they do a belt change so I'd be making a few phone calls if I were you.

Thanks, yes the one with all the toys. Will make some calls to other dealers. Was hoping for some help on here but everyone just slagging me off saying no way. Well, i wouldnt be on here if they had quoted a reasonable, say £600, for it.
