Hola

I've had a few BMW's and they have been mega reliable but bloody expensive to service. bMW wanted £750 for a 24,000 mile service plus parts.

Sadly some of the people i like to ride with didnt pay that much for their bike.

So bye bye BMW hello Suzuki Vstrom

That's more than a major service on a Ducati when they do a belt change so I'd be making a few phone calls if I were you.
Thanks, yes the one with all the toys. Will make some calls to other dealers. Was hoping for some help on here but everyone just slagging me off saying no way. Well, i wouldnt be on here if they had quoted a reasonable, say £600, for it.

£600??

FFS I'd faint at that

The price of new bike, eh..............my DR350 only cost a grand and I service it myself

Wasn't meant as a 'Slagging Off' Wayne, I was just knocked for six with a quote like that.

Mind you, BMW are not behind the door when it comes to their 'Hourly Rate'

Hope you get sorted at a more reasonable price (thumbs)
If I'm not online.............

I'm probably out on the Bat Bike

Agree with JB, £600 would be too much!

Will the bike be worth £600 more if it has the main dealer stamp rather than an independent shop stamp in the book?

Even the 1st service? A friend tried to book his new Explorer in with Bevans in Cardiff for it's 1st,which is only an oil change! They were a bit offish with him because he hadn't bought the bike from them, and quoted him £200. So in the end he had it done with a well known independent dealer locally, using a Triumph filter.

I can put you onto a very good guy at Grendon in Northants but there bugger all near there so you'd probably end up walking his dog round the lake while he services your bike :)

You can have your bike serviced wherever you like assuming its a vat registered place which uses genuine parts. Triumph are buggers for saying that will invalidate warranty but its LAW that it's fine. There is no car or bike manufacturer which can hold you to main dealer servicing. Anyone who does just tell them they're breaking the law.

Fell out with Pidcocks years ago
Get a quote for service and then they try and charge you for other things when you go to pay.
Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Try Rainbow.
