How much do you think my XT660R is worth

Hello, I'm kinda thinking of possibly selling my XT660R and getting something else. But i think shes probably worth more to me than she is to anyone else... What would you say she could be worth... seen them go for peanuts and some for much more..

hand guards
12 volt socket
heated vest socket
hyperpro front springs and spacers
YSS rear susspension
Metal mule 2 in 1 exhaust
metal mule bash plate
loads of new bits
centre stand
givi high screen and the old one
ali rear rack
recent full service

loads of oil changes every 2/3 k

never raced or rallied

and probably other things i've forgot

But ive no idea what the re sale value of it could be... what say you?

the main criteria seem to be..
* YEAR (?).
* mileage (as shown on dash?).
* general condition.

the `extras`, [as you know] will not pull much value? ( unless by an enthusiast for that model and those mods).

then there is private/ dealer/part-ex.. value
time of year, bike type etc etc

if you tell us the year I am sure there are comparable ads to compare prices.
but you know all this.


when I part-exed twice recently, all the dealer wanted to know was the above .. plus chain, tyres, rust and my estimate 1 to ten on condition ... they quoted me without even looking at the bikes (crf250x and ttr600), and the finance deals were struck there and then.

i dunno proper i got offered 1400 quid for my 2009 tenere by a dealer ..you expect them to be cheeky but feck me

i got 2450 for it from the first viewer ..id guess at 2400 with the bits ..maby 1900/2k without ??

It's the mileage that will put buyers off and drop the value more than other factors. You and I know that if it's looked after, these motors go on without major hassle, but the majority of the buying public don't see it that way. As has already been said, the extras cost a lot more to put on than they are worth to a new buyer. If you're in no hurry to sell, then price accordingly, you can always reduce it if it doesn't move.
If you do decide to sell and set a price, I'm after one, might be a hassle-free sale for you.
Good luck either way. Are you replacing? something in mind? or packing in for a while?

Nice bike, it'l sell no bother, a genuine never thrashed example, Dave likes cake and fag stops too much to be braaappping around.

This was my old bike, well the wife's actually. We bought it in 2011 from Blackpool Honda when it had about 300 miles on the clock. Sold to Dave about 2 years later with about 10,000 on the clock mostly done on a couple of Euro trips. Dave seems to have done some practical changes to it so it's probably better equipped now. When I sold it had Akros and a TT sump guard.

If it's the same rear carrier plate then it's a rare B&B plate from Australia the wife picked up when out there - came back in her hand luggage !! It's huge and IMHO worth saving to fit to future bikes you may have.
