The military coup will make Turkey a more secular country, they always do when they have a coup there, they have done it a couple of times. I think there was one in 80 and also 60 for similar reasons I believe.
The present PM is pushing Turkey towards being more Islamic and cutting peoples power, that's the same PM that we as a country give money to and have a team in Turkey helping to get into the EU.

I wonder what will happen to the Kurds now and their fight against ISIS ?

2.5million Brits go there on Holiday every year, some very worried people right now, will they still be able to get chips and a lager with their full English ??

On a serious note, it certainly puts Turkey's application to join the EU in the bin, not that it affects the UK !

history books are full of coups and other events and history tends to repeat itself :unsure:

Don't worry. Merkel will make sure they join. The 'European take over' isn't finished yet!
