Went for a look at the Royal Enfield Website.
First thing I noticed was the Union Jack and England next to it.
I wouldn't mind the English Flag with England next to it, but not the Union Jack.
I suppose I should expect it as it goes on al the time, however just how stupid are the people who do this?

Re: England / United Kingdom
Its not unusual for a UK flag to be shown and given the plant is in England which is part of the UK, its just normal practice
Re: England / United Kingdom
Is the link to click to change the language ?
In which case it should say English not England.

You think that's bad?
I've not slept since discovering my county has been split into North (and presumably South) Amptonshire. Someone should be soundly spanked.

Whats the problem, you do realise the Cross of St George is right there on the Union flag along with the cross of St Andrew and St Patrick. Good enough to fly from Windsor castle and Buck house. Their in England arnt they.

While we are all being proper and all that here is a bit of formality for you.
A union Jack is flown from a boat/ship only.
A union Flag is flown from a flag pole.
So there we are once and for all.

Dont want to get into an argument but even flown from a ship it is still the Union flag. The Jack is a naval term for the flagpole.Mike101 wrote:While we are all being proper and all that here is a bit of formality for you.

Here we have the Queens Colours of the 1st Bn Irish Guards. Consists of the Union Flag and center are company badges and a Royal crown. The Colours are also adorned with the Regiments battle honours. Proud to say iam the guy on the left as you look at the pic. Taken in Wellington Bks London. I know my flags. Although calling this a flag would be seen as an insult by those who served.

I agree with IainD. It's a screw up. The link is to move between the Global or UK websites, it's nowt to do with the language or the location of the factory, and the URL's are even
http://royalenfield.com/ for Global
and
http://royalenfield.com/uk/ for the United Kingdom
whoever did it either doesn't know their geography or is totally ignorant of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, etc, etc
It doesn't offend me at all, I just pity the person that did it, but doesn't change the fact it's a screw up.
