At certain points yes, for the majority of the road no.

They do in Scotland.
Lots of single track roads in Scotland, all with signs reminding drivers to pull over in the passing places.
Surely it's just being courteous to let something faster than you be it another car or motorbike past?

I may have a jaundiced view of human nature but I'm surprised and grateful if anybody pulls over to let me through.
