I believe it was a "caught overtrouser" issue.

I've done it myself back when bikes had kickstarts.

Happened to me over Christmas with some waterproofs, luckily on mud rather than in traffic.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Did you notice how easily the LH handguard broke? Reinforces the opinion that this bike is brittle, cheap and isn't going to crash well off road.

I've done similar on a sports bike when turning round in the road and my over trousers got caught on the footrest. Very embarrassing and the splintering sound as it hit the floor was something I never want to hear again.

In my case it was made worse by the fact I didn't realise I'd slashed my calf as well and got a major bollocking for dripping blood all over the carpet when I arrived at my then girlfriends house :pinch:
