May MIGHT put her 'deal' to a meaningful vote in the commons next tuesday or wednesday, for the third time - (IF the speaker decides that it is sufficiently different from her other failed attempts).

My understanding is that Parliament can overrule the Speakers objections to a third vote on the same May deal without any changes being made.

MP's have until the 12th April to vote in favour of Mays deal, or Brexit is cancelled.

constitutional crisis
changing power structures
heightened uncertainty
all options open
no majority for any option
fake news and poker-faced bluffs
disharmony and sinister undertones
petitions and demonstrations
poor alternatives
lack of leadership everywhere
economic chaos
stress and anxiety all around

not too bad then ... could be worse :)

If you haven’t watched Jonathan Pie in Spikes post above. It is sad when a satirical comedian can summarise the causes and consequences of Brexit in a more concise way than our politicians or most political commentators. I suppose he has no vested interest, other than making people laugh, unlikely the rest of them. Bizarrely the politicians, on all sides, have made more people laugh than the comedians, unfortunately they are people in other countries laughing at the UK.

Lots of excellent banners out on the march today, but I quite like this one:

Given that nearly 5 million people have signed the petition for a second referendum you wonder why the ‘Leave means Leave ‘ lot have not started an alternative one. Perhaps the pictures above give us a clue.
