Write folks...this is a touchy subject but apparently you can bypass, trick the abs dash diaplay on modern cars for mot...

Ie you turn ignition on abs light illuminates then should go off but if fault it stays on...apparently you can jump from somewhere to abs light so it goes out with ignition light...

Anyone know of thia trick please pm me....

Help greatly appreciated..

Its not illegal just shady doing lol...

The main question is do they ever check if the light comes on in the first place? If they don't look for that then I think you know how to proceed

Taking the bulb out will fail an MOT. It needs to illuminate when the idiot light check cycle runs. If you have an older analog car you can cut a track on the circuit board & solder a link in from another light. If your vehicle is OBD2 or canbus it will throw up a fault code if you mess with it. This is a fail as well. Your ABS will not function. It will also likely affect traction & stability controls. Its worth doing some basic checks & maintenance first to try and sort it.

Get hold of an OBD 2 code reader and find out what is causing the fault.
If its minor then you should be able to resolve the issue, if it's serious then you'd be a fool to drive it

obd 2 is only engine management abs is not covered on this you need a manufacturer specific tool for most other systems ie abs , srs, aircon , think tramp knows were the problem is its just the cost of the fix

Without going into to much details its a.307sw....had new rear discs and pads and bearings..all sensors cleaned and gap checked...abs pump and ecu checked...but still fault code pops up...garage is flumpsed as my pockets get ever empty...they say loom at fault..bollocks it worked before going in..ive regularly cleanes abs sensors...so the disable dash lightbis last resort as car now has no mot and i need it...

Thanks for thinking of me...also get speed reading at wach wheel so no fault in wire...

Electrics and water are dark arts lol
