ooh I have come over all funny seeing that, Dad had two but the 2.2 (I think) not the V8 and loved em, if Dad went fast around a corner I would slide across the rear seat :laugh: no seat belts then :silly:

Rover bonnet looks 2200 from the photo, the 3500 V8 is a lovely engine.

But the Triumph 2.5pi was a very smooth machine, my dad had one of those for a while and it seemed so smooth but rusted like hell.

well spotted the v8 had two bulges in the bonnet to clear the heads, if I remember correctly the bonnet was made of aluminium and the front wings bolted on.

On the Rover 2000, and all the variants, all the panels where bolt on, even the roof.

series 2 had the buldges, series 1 has flat bonnet as on mine.

I've had quite a few VW splitscreens over the years, always been a good scene and investment. Thought I sold out at the top about 5 years ago, but making really stupid money now IMHO.

I have a 1966 Triumph TR4A 49.000 miles from new, just make sure you have plenty of time!
