Helmets carry on in cabin ?

Has anyone ever carried their helmet onto the plane on a long haul flight ? is this taboo on planes now ?

If it fits in your carry on bag it's not a problem.

Make sure it's in a bag or they'll give you a bit of hassle at check in but I've never actually been stopped from taking one on.

Just fit a dark visor and wear it, what could possibly go wrong :laugh:

If your helmets in the cabin ..where the hells your bike lol...

Seriously no probs thats what i do pay for hold spacw for dry bag and helmet is hand luggage..dont have gloves in helmet though..

Handy for the baggae area scrum...head down and go...

I've got an open face Trials type.(not pudding basin)
Carries on ok & fits through the hand luggage size checker.
Lightness is everything.

Lightness with Grunt is a Scratcher!

An Adventure is not a tank transfer.

its an item of clothing so wear it, they dont ask you to put your shoes in the hold do they.
I did this at Malaga last year and the steward just shrugged and let me through

The bike will be in New Zealand I'm buggering off for a while and doing a tour I'm getting older and I have put it off every year for the last 4 or 5 a family problem has reared it's ugly head and I have been advised to extricate myself for a while so I am off. Flight paid for today and will be finalising bike out tonight hopefully (their day) so Xmas dinner on the beach or on the bike no plans made at all, fly pick up bike and ride.

Just trying to sort out my kit now (thumbs)
