The Reg Number is ... GTL 546 . I will get the engine and frame number's and a photo asap and post them on here.
Please pass on and keep a look out for it. Thanks .

Sweet bike.
Not chancers then, someone who knew & wanted it. Thieving gits with no morals or compassion.

Re: classic Bike stolen
This might sound a bit off the wall, but how about posting up some reward posters for information leading to the bikes recovery?
If they are local perhaps a child or adult might have seen something, and if not there is nothing to lose.

Re: classic Bike stolen
Get the Reg, engine and frame numbers advertised in as many areas as possible.
Let the owners club know the bike details. A lot of the dealers that trade in the bikes or parts for them are club members and regularly read the forum.
Watch Ebay. There really is no other outlet for the parts. Some of the parts from this bike are like hens teeth to find, so anybody selling them would be immediately suspect. To steal and break this bike you would need to be very clever not to get caught or plain stupid.
These bikes are not a favourite for thieves as the AJS / Matchless owners are fairly tightly knit crowd and somebody always knows somebody else that can help with most problems, parts etc. They may have stolen the bike, but most youngsters don't have a clue how to start them. The only reason to steal a bike like this would be to break it and sell the parts. This is where the owners club members can help as complete good bikes don't get broken up and if one is being broken the word soon get around. Even shipping the bike abroad would be no good as the overseas clubs and owners would soon I/D the bike.
If you are not a club member, let me have the Bike details and I'll put it on the AJS club forum for you.
