Now I'm no expert in first dates, but I've married twice so I got it right on two occasions. If memory serves me right, on both these occasions I dressed my age. When I was 17 I dressed like a 17 year old, and at 36 I dressed like a, you guessed it, a 36 year old. Come to think of it, both times I wore clean jeans. So my advice is to wear a pair of clean jeans. Worked every time for me.
