A good wine

Any wine snobs or lager louts should not bother reading any further. Now I'm no wine buff but I appreciate a good wine, especially at a good price. I consider myself well travelled, visited the new world vineyards of California, New South Wales and Western Australia, Marlborough New Zealand and Herefordshire. All very nice, but all very expensive. I know what I like, and I also know wine is very much a personal taste. Now I guess most of you heading to Europe this year will end up in, or be crossing France at some point. Having spent quite a bit of time living down in Southern France over recent years, I have visited many a Chateau and tasted the local brew. Some very palatable, and some reasonably priced. Some even given away. But I have found a little Red that hits the spot every time, and is available country wide in all the usual French Supermarkets at around 2 euros 30. It's bottled by ROCHE MAZET from Beziers, and they do 2 Reds, 2 Rose and you guessed it, 2 Whites. The Red I recommend is the Cabernet Sauvignon. You won't be disappointed, trust me. Anyone one else have any must try wines?

I find anything that costs less than £4 in Asda hits the spot!

You proved my point exactly. See, twice the price in Asda.

I'll need to fit a trailer to my bike before the cheaper wine pays for the Rosyth-Zeebrugger though!

Might be a blast from the past for some, especially northerners.

That's the very one Phil. Half way through a box myself with the Misses this evening. Brought a few boxes down to Spain with me. I doubt you can get a better wine for the money.

Strange.. I find the whole concept of people recommending wines goes right over my head.

Most (all?) red wines taste like vinegar to me, but then I like liquorice..
