I to have lived away from that shit hole UK for some 9 years (thumbs) (thumbs) .
Where I live has its problems to , Bit like the UK did 50 years ago (thumbs)
I can still leave my tools in my van with the keys in it , I can go out for hours and then realize I have left keys in the Front house door , and not worry .
99% of the time I can ride where I wont to with out some one else being pissed off.
No one gives a feck about what I am doing and are not trying to stop me doing what I wont .
I can still afford to have lots of land .
And I couldn't believe it yesterday a cop came up my lane in his car , the first one I have seen this year

I'm not looking forward to a cramped, over populated, expensive future in this country, I just want some space, I live in a decent area, but a traditional semi, my garden backs on to the people behind, small garden, I'd like a couple of acres and a modest house in the middle.
I will eventually move to a more rural location, I'd love France but my wife isn't keen, so south wales would be 2nd choice.

Re: poll - living in Britain
Why is it that so many people who move away still go to themed pubs, go out of their way to buy British products and try to hold onto Britain via the internet?
No, I don't mean posters on here in particular but overall the majority of people who emigrate from these shores try to hold on in one way or another and to make it worse they never waste an opportunity to say how crap it is here and how they'd never come back
I've got friends that always ask for HP sauce, Heinz baked beans and other such stuff if we're going within 50 miles of them yet as soon as we've made that not insignificant detour they waste no time at all before telling us how much better their life is :pinch:

Re: poll - living in Britain
I enjoy my life here.
Live in a cottage on a farm betweem two nice villages in rural Warwickshire.
Born and dragged up in Brum, but prefer the quiet life now.
My own small business brings in sufficent for my needs.
Riding off a ferry into Europe is great, there's many things we can learn from other nations, but it works both ways.
So if this place is so bad, why do so many foreigners want to come here?
A lottery win could completely change my view of course.

Re: poll - living in Britain
I could easily move abroad tomorrow as my wife is European but I have seen what it can be like there. Britain is not so bad, I'm happy to stay
