Long way round,yeah,right!

Post by Arnsideman »

Just a thought,part 2.
So,I wonder if Charley and Ewan had done their luvie trip on K.T.Ms as originally planned but binned coz they had to actually buy em themselves with their own money, would the U.K.roads now be awash with K.T.Ms(great bike)rather than G.S s? Some folk REALLY do buy a bike coz of "celebrity" status? No other explanation I recon.I rented a new G.S.for 3 weeks in North Africa,it was totally unsuited, heavy, unrelible etc. I had no back up motorhome, medics, mechanics, sat.phone etc. tho, maybe that's where I went wrong eh?

Does anyone really care about this kind of thing any more?

Didn't the world decide that the bike had to have some merit cause if they done it on C90's we sure as well wouldn't all be on them just 'cause' they was?

Judging by yesterday's thread and this one, someone seems to have a thing for Charlie and Ewan...

WGAF if they had support and were given bikes that have spawned a craze for born again, middle aged, middle class blokes.

At the end of the day, what they did seems to have put a lot of bums on seats in motorcycle showrooms all over the country and, as someone said yesterday, if that means lots of second hand low milage minters, well good! :woohoo:

Just get over it and ride for yourself rather than attacking a couple of blokes who aren't here to defend themselves and who, in all honesty, most people on this forum admire! B)

They have been outselling KTM's for donkeys years anyway... they are a more suitable bike for modern roads, that's all really.

Beemers have a better known brand, reputation and dealer network than KTM... which all makes them easier to sell.

Just to save everyone some time.

LWR is shit, they're just a pair of spoilt actors who couldn't do it for real.
No it's not, they still had to ride their bikes even with all that support.
Yes it is, BMW's are shit, I know cos my mate' dad's brother said so.
No they're not, I've got one and they're perfect in every detail.
Yeah but McGregor was crap in the star wars films, so there!
Erm, you've got a point there.
