More Gong-related stuff. A great band that I used to hang around with and follow about:

OK, so to continue on this theme, I just had a dig back through some albums and spent a pleasant couple of hours lost in psyche-space-rock land.

A splendid band was born out of nothing at Stonehenge back in about 84, heavily influenced by Steve Hillage. Roly Wynne was a good friend of one of my mates and we all used to riff about at festivals sometimes, smoking and guitaring beside the smashed up old buses. Good fun. Roly's brother and him formed Ozric Tentacles (basically round the camp fire) and went on to rival Hawkwind (IMO) with some terrific trippy albums over the years. I just wish I had taken part in some way while I had a chance to, rather than doing dull things like a career...

Anyway...

I just discovered this guy's brilliant musical analysis stuff on youtube.

He's deconstructed one of my favourite Yes songs and it's great to listen to / watch:
