Obviously a minority taste (or was it that he challenged the Establishment, The Man, Capitalism and 'Me-ism' throughout his life )
Hmmmmm

His brother Bob has one as well

RIP David

Remember how they messed up
this old fool
Don't pick fights with the bullies
or the cads
'Cause I'm not much cop at punching other people's Dads
And if the homework brings you down
Then we'll throw it on the fire
And take the car downtown[/center]

No doubt he was a very clever self publicising talented guy,
BUT when you hear some of the mawkish crap punters are spouting on the radio you would think some one of Wiston Churchill,s status had passed away :(

I agree. He really hit the spot in the 70's and was able to reinvent himself in subsequent decades just enough to keep himself above the horizon.
A very interesting and unique person defiantly.
His last album was dreadful though.

Dave

Sorry Dave but this is a 2002 CD which has just been reissued after his death, doesn't actually contain all his best work even though there are some of his 'hits' on there. My only point being that they have reissued old stuff, not brought out a 'tribute' to him after his passing.

Probably better known than Winston in this Social Media dominated age.

Definitely listened to by more people than Winston due to the increase in entertainment's reach across the planet.

Amusing how all the "celebs" are queuing up to "share" their tenuous links to Bowie.
