Tried a few different routes down to Jax now, and it's my considered opinion that if your riding down over 2 days, just miss all the northern trails out, just hit the D roads and a few POI and get down as far as https://motobreaks.com/ just 20km north of Bellac, had a really nice stay there and has a well equipped garage, after a great brekkie you can get on the trails proper and head south to Jax Shack, a good choice of trails even loaded up ( done it on the 990 and the 525 ) makes for a good day, if you want any of the routes I've done just PM me and I'll send them over, but I'm pretty sure there are on VR anyway.
Or you could just blast down on the toll roads, but why would you do that...

I had a great time on a recent visit, here are the pictures I took, grab a brew and take a view, there's loads of them...

I modded the KTM 525 exc up a little, managed the 1300+ mile trip really well, did swap the oil out at Jax and had a small leak from the CS where a thread had gone from one of the fixing bolts, but shod with Maxxis IT's and geared down a little to 14/48 it was great fun on the smooth twisties of the D roads 8-)
