Well , because no one wanted to play out i took the Donk out , now the motorway down here all seem to have gravel service track along side , ive riden bits of them but today i thought id try and stitch together a bike bike loop :?

It all started well, long open gravel hugging the W/way

Image20190818_133659 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

In places i got a little wooded but easy riding , and anyway i'm solo some left the silly head at home

Image20190818_134333 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

The track criscrossed the M/way mainly through these tunnels

Image20190818_133551 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

There were even choices to be made

Image20190818_134124 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

But all in all very pleasant riding

Image20190818_131947 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Untill , that is i saw the dreaded red and white flash .............................it had to be followed

Image20190818_140132 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

So follow i did ..... now these GR routes are old coach roads to simplify it so generally easy calm trails

Image20190818_140259 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Well used but never see anyone

Image20190818_140207 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Here's and memory jercker Stewie ......ended up on this lane coming the other way that you vidoed several years back , didn't reckonise it untill the end

Image20190818_140632 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Image20190818_140729 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

From there i was on a click or 5 of tar , i'd come from over these hills .....ish

Image20190818_140954 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

With me "dander up " i chose the next yellow trail .........................i do need to act my age

A bit tight but the Donk dragged me through it

Image20190818_141456 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

It got tighter :? hard to see but needed a bit of bar wiggling :D

Image20190818_141342 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

There was a worse bit but didn't get a pic as id have fallen off  it did open up and i was on a track id done before

Image20190818_143147 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Anyway came through unscathed to a nice picnic spot

Image20190818_143043 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Red Bull gives you wings ......this just gives you the shits

Image20190818_143147 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

The French are realy good at marking routes .....all drit roads

Image20190818_145237 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

I'd done all except this ..... 2 crosses, i.e. wrong way and a sign of falling rocks !!! so i had to try it

Image20190818_145256 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Great trail but ended at a field after a couple of km

Image20190818_145521 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Back tracked to the road untill i saw this litle tinker

Image20190818_150302 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Lovely wide avenue

Image20190818_150409 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Some one years ago didn't want folk in here ..... never seen so many barbs per inch

Image20190818_150426 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

The trail carried on but got smaller and smaller

Image20190818_150533 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

but was signed !!!!

Image20190818_150538 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Got to the end and found this , no prop and looked like itd been there a long time

Image20190818_150804 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

The trail had basically looped me back to the road so i backtracked again and picked up one i knew

Image20190818_153541 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Came across these in the middle of nowhere

Image20190818_152806 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Back on home ground

Image20190818_151919 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Love this trail

Image20190818_160721 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Has its own special signs :D

Image20190818_155926 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Image20190818_161024 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Home is just over that hill

Image20190818_161249 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Only out for 3.30hrs , did 83 kms and never fell off

Great report Phil. I reckon we should drag that Cessna thing back to yours and start work on it. Bit of testing and we'd have a whole new way of enjoying ourselves. What could possibly go wrong?

Great RR Phil, I had a good day out on my Donkey yesterday but it's hard to beat the stuff you have over there.
