Dysan wrote:Thanks for organising a great weekend Gary. Just what the doctor ordered, a ride out that wasn't too difficult, but hard enough to still be interesting. I couldn't have coped with another weekend like my previous one in Wales, where I spent more time picking the bike up than riding it.

Nice to meet some new faces.
Would love to know where you went in Wales Dysan, Ive done nearly all the trails in North Wales, and a lot from Mid Wales and didnt find things over tough, different with more mud in Mid, and a lot more water! You must have hit a load of secret spots.

We were south west of Oswestry, just over the border. Taken on the trails by a TRF god that knew then all without GPS. I could find the start point, but not the lanes. Here's a link from Advrider. Mainly the other group, but shows the type of terrain.

Cheers Dysan, Im going to have to get the maps out and scout the area. I normally head to Llangollen then West from here, or drop down into mid Wales. Will get some Oswestry maps on order after looking at Trailwise.
