Have any rideouts been planned or will it be do as you please?
Also, any update re food?
I'm trying to convince myself it's worth a 300 mile motorway slog after a late work finish.
Cheers,
Dave

As John has said, good proper food organised for Friday and Sat evenings. You can arrange for breakfasts for the morning at the bar, the evening before.
We will have a fire both evenings, with a raffle on Saturday evening.
Camping is £6 per person per night, Wood, £5 per person and the raffle £5.
I suggest £25 per person to cover all of this, with any extra going to Air Ambulance.
I can certainly say that every item in the raffle is worth at least £8, go figure. I am not making money on this but wanted you guys to have something memorable to take home (after the last two years turmoil)!
It appears that the weather is going to be pleasant so hope to meet some new faces and old. Safe trip over, Ill make sure the beer is up to scratch as I will there for the Thursday evening.
Cheers Steve (or as Devon John now calls me.................. Mario!)

Re: Ecky Thump Rally
Well done Steve--sounds like a really good value weekend and hopefully the weather will play--maybe a bit damp on Saturday as the weak front moves south and we lose this warm air flow. Sunday should be dry but a bit cooler, and of course Friday also looks good for travelling.

Re: Ecky Thump Rally
Great weekend . weather played ball. Well done Mario. I must have dropped my specs at the site(one lens missing deliberately anyway, since my cataract op!) Brown frame. If handed in please let me know. Great to see old friends and usual suspects. However, if it wasn't for the Harley crew the turnout from this group would have been very poor--you all missed a great weekend--and some people were travelling 300 and 400 miles each way!

Cheers Chris, yes it was a brilliant weekend, plenty of new faces and good weather.
The pub let us down but a new venue has been found and booked already.
I was the last to leave the site and walked it, picking up any litter, I did not see your specs, sorry.
Yeah the Harley group accounted for at least 60% of the group!
I will post details of next years Ecky Thump and hopefully get a few more attendees from this forum.
We had just over 40 persons there with some just for one evening. I managed to give everyone something from the raffle, printed T shirts and mugs etc ................and we made about £400 for Air Ambulance. I will count up exactly and post here.
Cheers Steve (alias Mario)

Re: Ecky Thump Rally
well done again--lots of work and stress. The pub was good-apart from food value IMO. Thanks for the glasses update-probably slipped down and lodged somewhere for a while--I'm not searching the whole route home!--I took 2 videos of the fire which worked well each night!

Cheers Steve for putting the weekend together, and thanks Terry for leading our group ride, although maybe next time I'll let you walk into the river to test the flow
